I have been off line for a few months. I have poured all my energy into my latest book The Second Adam. This book arises from experiences like this: a few years ago I asked my students what they would say to a non-churchgoing person if they asked a question like, “What do you Christians mean when you say that Jesus died so that your sins could be forgiven?” My students looked at me with blank stares. They knew what you are supposed to feel when you hear those words, but they could not explain what you are supposed to think. My book is an effort to help my students and others to have something intelligent and persuasive to say in this situation.
Perhaps I will blog about the book next year…

thanks Ron I really found the interaction uplifting, at times I feel a little alone. however, you seem to take objective issues that no can possibly do anything about, (such as, what do you think about christen interaction in the political environment today),and very the subject matter back to a subjective issue,(such as how can I interact and enjoy those that I just happen to meet on the street, so that the interaction could possibility lead to, a hay, you know I had such and enjoyable time talking with you . let’s meet for coffee hears my phone #. friends are made this way, the more personal this engagement becomes,(ya know Paul spent 18 months interacting with his new friends at Corinth to solidify an image of his lord, not 2 or 6 hours!
I could go on with this into to the formation of getting to the gospel, which presupposes that everyone in your tribe is somewhat on the same page. Of peroneal engagement with new comer’s.
you could just call this process putting the 1st and 2ed commandment into practice.
